personality

Severa is an abrasive personality, hot-headed and snarky. She prefers getting to the point and isn't afraid to say what's on her mind. Not one for waiting around, Severa would rather act first then think later.

Behind snappy remarks and harsh tones, there lies a great care for her loved ones and a desire to protect them. Is she able to convey that care? Oftentimes—not really. Severa finds it hard, sometimes embarrassing and silly, to admit her true feelings when they matter. The most likely thing she'll do is tell a white lie and pass it off as if her real feelings are nothing to worry about. There's certainly a level of dishonesty when it comes to her true feelings.

Basically, the thing with Severa is that she cares, but she isn’t good at showing it. She’ll say one thing and the next second she’ll probably say the opposite… or, at least, try to. She’s the kind of person where her actions speak louder than her words.

Severa considers herself to be a lady and is quite girly! She enjoys shopping and fashion, which inadvertently serves as a distraction for her when things get rough around camp. Severa's also known to play the "sweet and perfect daughter" card on her father whenever she wants more money to go shopping, or goes as far as to ask her father to buy things for her.

Due to always being compared to her mother while growing up, Cordelia of the Pegasus Knights, she's developed an inferiority complex. Severa learns early that she has some pretty big shoes to follow in. The insurmountable acclaim that Cordelia garnered throughout her years in the army is a legacy she doesn't feel worthy of.

All of that being said, overcoming her mother's legacy and standing out not just as Cordelia's daughter, but as Severa, is the driving factor to do her best. At the same time, insecurity and fear of not being able to meet those standards depreciates her self-worth and her own skills.

Really, all Severa wants is to prove to herself that she's worth something! Her mother is a legend, so why is it that she can't she even be anywhere near as great or as perfect as her?

On the topic of mothers, Severa almost wants to hate her. Her mother was always away due to work (protecting Chrom, the Exalt of their kingdom, working with the other pegasus knights, among other things), Severa saw her mother worry about everyone else more than her own daughter. It never helped that, growing up, Severa's accomplishments were always compared and framed against her mother's. Most people couldn't talk to Severa without mentioning Cordelia in some way.

Cordelia's "doing everything she can" trait is passed down onto Severa. When danger lurks around the corner, Severa will not hesitate to jump into action in order to protect her friends on the battlefield. When someone needs to get a reality check, well, Severa's good at that too! Being a busybody has become made its way around the family.
